Romantic Wedding on The Eastern Shore

I’ve said it before but it always rings true, our full planning clients become way more to us than just clients, they become close friends and sometimes even feel like family. This could not be truer for Lauren & Will who we had the pleasure of working with for 12 months to plan their most perfect day.

Lauren & Will came to us with Our Mother of Sorrows as the church & The Oaks Waterfront Inn & Events as the venue but not much more in place. We worked with them to plan a wedding that was classic & antique but still highlighted the best of the Eastern Shore.

Working one vendor at a time we brought on board the best of the best listed below to bring Lauren & Will’s vision to reality. When we came to the end of our “must secure vendors” list Lauren mentioned wanting a fun and unique activity for the guest to do throughout the night. We sent over a link to our friends at Lil Photo Bus and the next thing I knew, the contract was signed!

Now it was time for the decor to get finalized, our favorite part of the process! We worked to add personality into as much of the design as possible, like always. We took their love for oysters and created beautiful escort cards for the guests to find their seats by painting the oyster shells gold and attaching a tag to each one. We spiced up the tablescape by adding some slate blue napkins wrapped in a square knot rope with copper chargers. Lauren & Will’s dog, Lucy, even made her way into the day by being the inspiration for their signature drink, The Loosey Lucy! No wedding is complete without a welcome sign. Lauren & Will started thrifting to find the perfect antique frame. Once purchased, we got started making their welcome sign on acrylic!

Lastly, when we found out, rather early on, that the Groom was one of the founders of Bourbon Scout, we had to create the most perfect Bourbon Bar for the guests to enjoy after dinner!

Despite the rain, the couple’s love brightened up this wedding day. It was a beautiful celebration that ended with a fireworks show right over Oak Creek.

Congrats Lauren & Will!
