Kristin & Dave came to us with three main goals for their wedding vision. Number one, they wanted to throw a big celebration for their family & friends; Number two, they wanted the theme/celebration to reflect their love for nature; and number three, they wanted tasteful hints of their faith. After chatting with them over the phone a few times, we decided to move forward and meet at what would be the site of the big day, Kristin’s grandfather’s private residence, named The Mill House.
As I pulled up to this hidden gem in Maryland, I knew this would be an absolutely wonderful project to take on. The backdrop for Kristin & Dave’s wedding was almost as beautiful as their love for each other, which is noticeable from the second you start talking with these two.
Over the next few months, we hit the ground running, planning a day that incorporated all three of the goals they mentioned on our very first call. When the big day came along, nature cooperated and gave us the most perfect weather to make their wedding vision, and our planning, come to fruition.
From the flawless ceremony to a cocktail hour in the “Circle of Trees”, to the tent reception with garlands, mercury candles, and lanterns decorating long tables, these two had a day that each of them, as well as their family & guests, will remember for a lifetime.
