Meant-to-Be Elegant Vineyard Wedding

It all started over a glass of wine in Baltimore when I went to meet Alex + Sam. They were debating having their wedding at one of our favorite places, Crow Vineyard & Winery. To say we hit it off from the start is an understatement. After two glasses of wine and a cheese plate, I found myself not wanting to leave! These two radiated love, passion, and excitement.

Shortly after our meeting they locked in their wedding at Crow Vineyard and moved forward with the rest of the planning. Keeping me in the loop throughout the process, asking for local advice here and there, I joked with Alex multiple times that I would hire him if he was interested. [Alex – I was not joking!] The celebration was planned beautifully, with a tablescape that called attention to the vineyard setting, including cut wine bottles with candles lining long banquet tables.

As we neared their date, Hurricane Florence gave us quite a scare and we jumped into action finding as many Plan Bs as we could to ensure these two had the perfect day they had worked so hard to plan.

With lots of calls, emails, plans, and a ton of “hurricane go away” dances, we continued on towards their big day. Well, these two were sure meant-to-be because the morning of their wedding the chance of rain was the lowest we had seen all wedding season. It was actually the BEST weather day of the season and boy, did they deserve it!

The outdoor ceremony started right on time with the flower girl & ring bearer walking down the aisle. At that point, we signaled to Alex who was ready with his parents and Sam, with his parents, in the vines. They made their entrance walking out of the vines all together holding hands and it was beyond perfect.  The rest of the celebration was full of oysters, a caricature artist, good food, dancing, and of course lots of wine 😉

Congrats, Alex + Sam. We wish you years & more of adventures together!
